To mark our second anniversary, Bright & Brine returns to a format that quickly became a favourite: the group show.

Last year, we celebrated with a collection of floral works. This spring, we asked artists to dive deeper. Underwater invited them to explore what lies beneath the surface, drawing inspiration from oceans, rivers, lakes, and the unseen spaces below.

Over 100 artists from across New Brunswick submitted work, and 45 were selected, with one piece per artist. The result is a wide-ranging exhibition that moves between realism and abstraction, calm and tension, familiarity and the unknown.

In Atlantic Canada, the coast is a constant influence. This show pushes that idea further. It is not just about what we see from the shoreline, but what we imagine, remember, or fear beneath it.https://www.brightbrine.ca/
